Day 34 - Saturday 3.6.10 - Arapaho Basin:  After a long wait and a reservation made last summer A's 2009/2010 ABasin beach party was officially underway!  The invites went out...people bailed, people showed - grief was given for the early March date and let me be the first to type - it was an amazing day!  The sun represented, the keg flowed (with some pressure issues I have to say), the grill was fired up all day long with burgers and brats, and my friends and thier friends and countless other locals just had an absolute ball!  Here are a few key pictures to sum it up!

Day 35 - Sunday 3.7.10 - Arapaho Basin:  After a great beach day what a better way to finish off the weekend but to skin up ABasin - right!  Nothing says you are crazier than going uphill by human power when there are perfectly good ski lifts to propel one up the mountain - well I must say it was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life - and I got to do it with Rory!  We came up "Wrangler" to "Sundance" and made our way to mid-mountain for a quick drink of water. 

After a quick mid-mountain pow wow we decided to push on (Rory had already done the route the day before as a beach day prep - seriously?!!?!?)! 

We then proceeded up the steeps of "Grizzly Road" and made our way up and around the bend to the top of the Pali lift to cheers and jeers of those on top. 

After a quick re-tool of gear we telemarked our way back down the hill! 

One hour thirty minutes up - fifteen minutes down!  A tough and grueling ascent and I must admit, a lazy decent made for one of my most favorite days ever!  I'm ready to go again and I know Rory is too!
